The focus of the competition is to develop and recognize new and existing talented professional photographers. Many parts of Ontario are very well known and photographed; other attractions and destinations are less well-known. Of particular interest to us are photographs that show travellers enjoying themselves throughout Ontario in all seasons.
Ontario Tourism is interested in encouraging professional photographers to “cast their artistic eye” on the people, places and experiences that make Ontario a travel destination of choice for travellers from this Province as well as around the world. We would like to see, through photographic images, an interpreted landscape and emotions of travellers experiencing our part of the world. Our ability to use the photographs to convey surprising and inspiring travel experiences are key to successfully showcasing our beautiful Province.
Contest sponsors wish to see, learn from and acquire images from professionals. In exchange we have compiled an impressive prize package that includes cash, advertising profile and recognition for the winners.
Exhibition and Book Launch
All photos submitted for this contest will be judged, not only for the prizing but to be part of the Show Your Ontario book launch & opening night exhibition. Selected photographers and their work will he showcased in this book that will highlight the year-long contest and help capture the essence of travel and tourism in Ontario.
